CAJ Annual Lecture 2024, featuring Lilian Seenoi-Barr, Mayor of Derry and Strabane, and CEO of the North West Migrants Forum

Lilian Seenoi-Barr reflects on her journey from seeking refuge to becoming a transformative leader, championing resilience, social justice and inclusivity.

Lilian Seenoi-Barr is the founder and CEO of the North West Migrants Forum and the Mayor of  Derry City and Strabane District Council. In her lecture, Lilian will reflect on her inspiring journey from her early life in Kenya to her pivotal role in shaping a more inclusive society in Northern Ireland. The lecture will explore themes of resilience in overcoming challenges as a migrant, her commitment to social justice, and her vision for a reimagined Ireland that embraces diversity and equality
