Human rights 25 years after the Agreement, with Alyson Kilpatrick

  • Queen’s Film Theatre 20 University Square Belfast, Northern Ireland, BT7 1PA United Kingdom (map)

An in-person seminar exploring how human rights have progressed in Northern Ireland since the signing of the Good Friday Agreement

Keynote speaker: Alyson Kilpatrick, Chief Commissioner for the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission (NIHRC).

Next year will mark 25 years since the Good Friday Agreement solidified peace in Northern Ireland. However, the process of transforming our society to one based on human rights remains unfinished.

This seminar, organised by CAJ, will explore how human rights have progressed during the last two and a half decades. The event will begin with a presentation from our keynote speaker, Alyson Kilpatrick, Chief Commissioner for the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission (NIHRC). CAJ’s Director, Brian Gormally, and Chair, Dr Anna Bryson (QUB), will also be on hand to share their views.

Time will be set aside at the end for a Q&A session with the audience.

Tea and coffee will be available for purchase in the QFT cafe.
